I always say if your going to flaunt one area make sure your covered in all the other areas. This red dress is pretty short but it was a risk I actually enjoyed taking. It’s been a while since i’ve worked up the courage to bear so much of my legs. The extra coverage near the arms and chest made me feel a little less extreme.

Just know this: whatever body part or parts you feel unsure of are absolutely beautiful even if they aren’t the perfect image you had in your mind. So you have a bit of cellulite or some ‘rolls’ here or there. Its totally ok, don’t be too hard on yourself. Just wear the dress.

Can I tell you guys a funny story. I was on my way to an event in the city when a homeless man began yelling at me that I shouldn’t be wearing a skirt with my ‘cottage cheese’ legs. You’ve got to love New York City right. I think this is the only city where a homeless man offers fashion advice.

If you were wondering, I did not hit him with my purse or respond with a rude comment. I just continued on my journey to the party and I had a great time! If theres one thing i’ve learned in life its that hurt people hurt people. When people say mean things just take a moment and realize something. This person may be having a really bad day. Just kill them with kindness, or just pretend to be invisible. I do this often. It works like a charm.
