I purchased the color 7 kit which contains some 8,7,6,and even a 5 option. When I realized they included so many different options (10 unique shades) I was extremely excited to start swatching them.
How it Works
It is advised to swatch the colors on the jawline to find a shade that matches the neck and face. One you have tested each shade on your skin the one that blends in seamlessly is most likely your match. You also get a $10 coupon for a full sized Satin Matte Foundation should you choose to grab a full size from the Alima Pure site.
The Satin Matte Foundation is an amazing lightweight mineral foundation that evens out the skin tone, and reduces the look of fine lines & wrinkles.
As you can see although these shades are all in the 8 category they are not all deep dark shades which is why trying this kit out makes the process of choosing a shade easier. The shade cool 8 is way too dark for my skin tone, but I will definitely be using the darker shades as matte bronzers for days when I want a dramatic contour.
One again you see the huge difference in shades. I’d love to use cool 7 as a contour color, and neutral 7 as a highlighting powder. I love the shade beige 7 against my skin tone.
They always give a few lighter options in each kit. I actually like the look of olive 6.
Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Zinc Oxide (CI 77947), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).
Overall I’d definitely suggest this kit to anyone who wants to find a good match in this foundation. Not only will you find your match but you’ll have a bunch of other shades to use for things like contour, highlight, and eye shadow.
