It took me a while to figure out my skin care needs, but I think I finally have it down. In this video, I talk about the natural skin care routine I’ve been using to work towards getting clear skin all summer long.
DIY Makeup Remover Cleansing Oil
I sat staring at my collection of skin care oils in my bathroom wondering: What can I do with this? The jars and glass bottles were half empty after months of using them for deep conditioning treatments, body oil, and anything else I could think of but one thing. I had never made my own makeup remover and I finally ran out of a luxury sample of oil cleanser I got from one of my favorite vegan subscription boxes. So I grabbed the bottles and walked the collection of ingredients to my kitchen. I began creating my own makeup remover cleansing oil.
A lot of makeup cleansing oils contain coconut oil which in the summer months can cause me to break out so you won’t find any coconut oil in this oil blend. Tip: If you don’t enjoy the process of oil cleansing to remove makeup you may be using the wrong oils. More light weight oils like jojoba, rosehip seed, argan, tamanu (perfect for acne prone skin), avocado oil, olive oil, and evening primrose. I haven’t used all of these oils but many of them are in the blend I created.
